M14 Half Nuts (DIN 439) - Steel Zinc Plated Half Nuts, also known as Jam Nuts or Lock Nuts, are thin nuts that are frequently used in applications where a high thread engagement is required. Half Nuts can be used to hold another Hexagon Nut into position or alternatively can be utilised when a standard Full Nut is too thick for application. These Half Nuts are made from Bright Zinc Plated Steel which provides a level of corrosion and oxidation resistance as well as a bright finish.
